Here is my card base on above photo :) I had so much fun in working with by die cutting the "heart" shape, I've used fabric tape which quite good for die cut machine and my below picture shows. Please scroll down and you will find it.

Just a reminder of this current challenge over Jay Gee's Nook blog :) I was once again being refresh after seeing this inspiration photos which help me a lot in my card making progress. More details of this challenge can be found here.

Lately, I am falling in love creating one layer card and I think sometimes it can be quite challenging in terms of the layout, colour, etc. For this card I intend to create a simple yet elegant look :) and this amazing stamp set are "Pretty Peonies" from Jane's Doodles.

Today is Sunday which mean we're having DT's post for you over Jay Gee's Nook blog. I was a bit in mood creating this card below :) using Paper Smooches stamps set called "Friendly Flowers" and "Pretty Phrases". If you are aware of in the middle of the card it is actually a heart shape. I din't actually masked before stamp it but rather trace the heart shape out then stamp on it. I wasn't expect the card could turn out this way but yay is quite cute :)

Welcome to Runway Inspired Challenge #5 and we have Honor Spring collection of 2012 photo for you. The sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp. For me I like to work with inspiration photo as I get the chance to explore many elements on the photos. For example, when get a closer look with this challenge photo, the graphic box, grid, colour caught my eye. As a result, when working on the card I will use these elements as a guide line to create the card. Just thought of sharing a little of my behind scene process in card making :)

Here is my card base on above inspiration photo. I tried this pattern from scratch, the shape is in square (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") and I trim the edges off by using round corner scissors and adhere them one by one.

Hope you get some mojo from today post and can't wait to see your beautiful creation :) Now off to some gorgeous DT's work.

Is time for the brand new inspiration challenge over Jay Gee's Nook :) and here is the inspiration photo for you to create with.

I couldn't agree more, all the images above are full with inspiration of style, ideas, technique and etc. I was particularly inspired by the silhouettes image and the shape of the winter leaf. As a result, instead of using winter leaf I choose this label dies by Spellbinders to work with. To create the card, I first die cut the large tag from a pattern paper by Grant Archival and then stamp the silhouettes image on it.

Welcome to another challenge of the month from Jay Gee's Nook and Judith has put all these inspiration photos for this Christmas theme challenge. It was full of Christmas items that you could create. This including tags, gift boxes/bags, wrapping, decorations or even traditional/non traditional Christmas theme.

I've create a simple card using Wplus9 Design Studio stamps as I always adore Dawn's creation and the bold satin ribbon are perfect touch to finished off the card. As this year Christmas falls on a Sunday which we will not have post this day :) Therefore, the next challenge will be on the 8th January 2012.

Time for Jay Gee's Nook design team's card. Today I would like to share a card which give you a little of splash of burgundy. I did not stamp those background but instead I use one of the paper called Secret Bird Society Collection from Kaisercraft. The big sentiment are from this set Rejoice, Practicing Creativity. Besides, this card also create base on a sketch from 2011 Paper Crafts Nov/Dec issue.

Tips: Always use a neutral background to work with in order to make the splash colour stands out.

I always inspired by Cristina masking skills, she really "Master in Masking" and this card is one of the example that challenge me to try at least once. Welcome to my 2nd blog anniversary 2011. It has been 2 years from now when I first started this blog in 2009 and it was amazing to see how this blog has slowly progress and yet still progressing. Today post is all about THANKSGIVING, some people I would like to thank for but most importantly is the one who give me the talent in doing handmade cards - My Dear Heavenly Father.

In addition, there are several things has been happening since last year October 2010 to this year 2011. The TOP 5 things I would like to give thanks:

Today card is about Quick and Simple, especially when you're running out of time and urgently need a card for someone. Quick and Simple card help to address these situations and this card also suitable for mass producing. Dear friends,

Today's card is about Christmas, a time of sharing a time of love and is all about Jesus Christ Saviour born :) The set that I've been chosen to work with is "Ornate Ornaments" from Lawn Fawn, another stunning set :) I was inspired by Maile's card and I always adore her style, simplicity yet elegant. For my card, I particularly emphasize on the ornament which I embossed using embossing folder and paper pierced it. This has added some texture into the card which look a little extraordinary.

Hope you have a blessed weekend! Today, we have another well known new talented crafting member joining the design team. Welcome Iwona Palamountain (Chupa) to the team :)
Back to today's card, have you ever wonder you have a stamp set with different sentiments in it and you seldom use them? It happens to me all the while, so today this card mainly focusing on sentiments. The "Sweet" sentiments are from Practicing Creativity called For the Love of Dots while the "So" and "of you" from this Lawn Fawn set. Sweet directs me to think of pink, as results I chose pink gradient to work with this card and stamp them repetitively and added rhinestones to finish off the touches.

Hello,

I am so glad and honoured to be part of the fun Paper Crafts blog hop in celebrating this special issue of Cards Ideas for Paper Crafters. Currently, Paper Crafts magazine online editor, P. Kelly Smith are hosting a "Bonus Sketch Blog Hop"over Paper Crafts Connection.

10 of us were asked to design a card using one of the 12 bonus sketches which can be found here. I choose Lucy Abrams sketch to make the card:

My card base on her sketch:

How fun is this sketch as I ended up came out with this "towel" ideas for couples who are celebrating their anniversary. The sentiment that I've used from Lawn Fawn gave a perfect touch on this card!

For me, to follow the sketch closely was one of my greatest challenge in this call as I knew I just couldn't follow. Although the sketch can be interpret in different ways eg. flip them, rotate them, invert them or use them as seen but still the end results always not pointing towards the sketch or sometimes just couldn't recognise the card was base on the sketch. However, it was fun to create a card base on the sketch which actually push me to step out of my comfort zone.

Also, I paper piecing the yellow flower in order to make the whole card looks more lively as well as added buttons to finished of the card :)

Today, I have some good news to share with all of you :) I was so happy and felt unworthy when the founder of Jay Gee's Nook blog Judith, invited me to join her design team. Indeed, it was my first DT ever I've joined and I felt honored! Honestly, I hardly try these purple theme kind of color combination on my card. Thought it was challenging, but I think it is worth trying. I have also used this lovely texture paper from (Couture) s.e.i which gives a little bit of classy feel on the card.

"Cograts" for born baby was my theme for this gallery challenge :) Love that little cute bear wearing bow on him as well as the gingham ribbon on top. I have made this card few days ago and I realised that the book called Silhouette Art by Vana Chupp has been giving me a lot of inspirations :) Personally, I love clean and simple style and when I first came to explore Silhouette stamp which I used on this card tells :) I have been using this stamp quite often and I really like the image of this stamp. Perhaps you might interested in Silhouette Art and I would recommend you visit Vana's blog for further reading. I have been very thankful that some of my cards has been picked out for the publication but there are some cards still being rejected from the Go to Sketch call. In fact, never give up and continue strive the best in submitting cards to the publication call should be one of the motivation as a crafter!

They are really bright and bold colors. I must admit that this isn't my first choice of color when comes to my card but haven't said that when I first saw this color combo, it really capture my attention. Out of curiosity, I went to a craft shop to find out the exact colors of these Monochoromatics.
